Makerspace North Open House image

We’re heading to Ottawa this weekend to check out the official opening of Makerspace North, a 19,000 square foot hub that plays host to makers, startups, and events year round. The Ottawa Makers Digest Curator Kyle McInnes is the Director of the space and we can’t wait to see his maker mecca firsthand! On Saturday, August 22nd, Makerspace North will be celebrating their official opening from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The event will have something for everyone and every age – stop by and get a tour of the facilities and meet with a vibrant community of makers and startups. Maker Spotlight: Darcy Whyte image

Darcy Whyte, or as some know him, inventorArtist, is a well known Ottawa maker and entrepreneur. He’s turned a few of his maker projects into awesome, revenue generating businesses and is always out in the community teaching and learning with others.
