Pop-up Playground

The Pop-up Playground, created for the Toronto 2014 Nuit Blanche festival, is an expansion of The Pop-up Play Station, a project The Makers Nation did in San Francisco in February 2014, with a Nuit Blanche twist.

The project was commissioned by 401 Richmond and was built in collaboration with Matthew Potter with support from Active Surplus and MAKELAB.

Elements of the Playground have since been featured at the Toronto Mini Maker Faire, and TOTechBash 2014.

The goal of the installation was to remind participants and passers-by of the importance of play as a catalyst for creativity and that playfulness has no age limit.
